The photo here depicts the harbour at night in the city of Bantry, about an hour's drive from Anam Cara, where we went for the opening of the West Cork Literary Festival. Sue mentioned that the squiggly lights look like the number 5. I discovered that in Greek Orthodox symbolism, 5 stands for the Holy Spirit, the author of life. And it was after I returned from Ireland that I decided to move to Maine—to begin a new life near the sea.
