In the summer of 2008, I felt like my life was going nowhere. I needed to travel—and so I took a trip to Cork, Ireland, for 12 days. I arrived in Cork City on June 28. The quietest spot I found in this rather industrial city was here, the grounds of Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral.
