Here's another half of that same window. While at Anam Cara I read a book called The Brendan Voyage, in which a small group of men sailed from Ireland to Newfoundland in the 1990s in a leather boat. They were following after the Irish monk Saint Brendan the Navigator, who is said to have made that transatlantic journey in the sixth century.
